1st Edition of the Porto Photographic Competition 2019
In 2019, the Porto City Council promoted the first edition of the Porto Photographic Competition, with a view to the participation and involvement of citizens in the common objective of capturing never-before-seen images of the city.
The images selected by the jury, composed of designer Eduardo Aires, photographers Alexandre Delmar and Miguel Nogueira and architects Andreia Garcia and Catarina Magalhães, led to the publication of a book.
NORTE MULTIMEDIA Competition – “Europe is here!”
The NORTE MULTIMEDIA competition organized by CCDR-N aims to contribute to the revelation of new photographers, directors and producers, professionals and amateurs, exhibiting their work, and seeking to awaken creativity and creation, originating from the theme “ Europe is here! ” .
The awards ceremony held at MIRA performing arts, in Porto, took place together with an exhibition with around 40 photos that stood out in the jury's evaluation.
The jury was made up of CCDR-N, Jornal de Notícias, MIRA FORUM, the School of Arts of the Catholic University, ESMAD – Escola Superior de Artes e Design de Media and Farol de Ideias.
After the MIRA performing arts space, the same exhibition arrived at Trindade Metro Station.
